Origin: Northern Chile to Peru

Growth Habits: Cylindrical cactus in large colonies, up to 18 inches tall (45 cm); brownish green stems, up to 2 inches in diameter (5 cm); 5 to 8 ribs; 1 or occasionally 2 central spines, up to 2.4 inches long (6 cm); 9 to 11 radials, 0.8 inches long (1 cm)


Blooming Habits:
Diurnal yellow or orange flowers, 1.6 inches long (4 cm)
